RJN Foundation

RJN’s founder, Richard J. Nogaj, was a visionary leader, innovator, and dedicated community advocate. In 1998, he and his wife, Florence, established the RJN Foundation to support education, strengthen communities, and encourage a spirit of service within the company.

Our Mission

The RJN Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting the future of civil and environmental engineering while strengthening the communities where we live and work. Through scholarships and charitable giving, the Foundation reflects RJN’s long-standing commitment to service, education, and impact.

Community Impact

For more than 25 years, the RJN Foundation has promoted a culture of employee stewardship across all RJN office locations. Many of the organizations we support are near and dear to our employees, who submit grant requests on their behalf—ensuring our giving reflects the passions and priorities of our people. Through quarterly donations to employee-selected non-profit organizations, the Foundation empowers our team to support the causes they care about most while strengthening connections between RJN and the communities we serve.

Scholarships

The Foundation awards scholarships to colleges and universities across the country, supporting students pursuing degrees in civil and environmental engineering. Scholarship recipients are selected directly by each institution, helping invest in the next generation of industry leaders.

50-Year Anniversary Donation

As part of RJN’s 50-year anniversary celebration, the Foundation partnered with American Rivers and donated $50,000 to support clean water initiatives. In addition, RJN employees participated in company-wide river cleanups across major cities, further demonstrating our hands-on commitment to protecting and preserving vital water resources.
