Dallas Water Utilities Infrastructure Improvements

In an area bounded by IH 635 to the north and east, IH 20 to the south and Loop 12/Spur 408 to the west, the RJN Group, Inc. is in an agreement to provide design services for approximately 72,000 linear feet of water and associated wastewater main improvements. The design services will be completed in two major phases. The initial phase includes providing total turn key design services where RJN will perform the preliminary design, surveying, utility coordination, and plans and specifications for approximately 50,000 linear feet of water and associated wastewater main. The second major phase includes partial turn key design services where RJN will perform the preliminary design, surveying, utility coordination, and provide design base sheets for DWU to perform their own design for approximately 22,000 linear feet of water and associated wastewater main.

Design services for the initial phase have been completed. This phase consists of 2 separate construction packages. The first package is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by June 2007. The second construction package will be advertised in the Spring of 2007. The City staff is responsible for the final design of the second phase of the project. Total construction cost is estimated at $10 million.
