In the day-to-day operations of public works departments there is often a need to graphically display maintenance information in the form of maps and tables. Rather than waiting for the creation of an enterprise GIS or extensive data conversion to obtain this type of imaging capability, we can offer a more practical solution.

CASSView is the first product to integrate an infrastructure maintenance management system in an efficient Map Objects environment. The end result is a database-driven mapping application that provides visual data on demand. Designed as a light-weight, desktop application, CASSView puts information in the hands of more users.

The CASSView Module requires the RJN CASS WORKS system and a minimum of a geo-coded street centerline to operate. CASSView provides CASS WORKS users with immediate, widespread access to maintenance information, as-built records, maps, and GIS data.

• VIEW dynamic displays of current service requests and work order information including mapping of routine and repetitive work.
• CREATE maps of any maintenance of work history data such as locations of major failures or complaints such as main breaks or line stoppages.
• CREATE displays and maps with color-coded locations for various classifications of work activities, types of failures, or determined causes.
• OBTAIN ACCESS to scanned as-built records or utility maps.
• ADVANTAGE-early use by anyone interested in desktop access to maintenance or GIS information.
